Dr. Pierre Kory is a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist and former Associate Professor and Chief of the Critical Care Service at the University of Wisconsin.
As a critical-care physician, he spent his career at the bedside of multi-organ failure — the cascade in which a single insult brings down one system after another — where the essential skill is refusing to treat each failing organ in isolation and instead finding the one upstream cause behind them all. It is that habit of mind, applied to the world's water and soil, that produced this book.
Before Covid-19, he was widely recognized as a master educator and international pioneer in critical care ultrasonography, winning major teaching awards at multiple academic institutions. During the pandemic, he co-founded and served as President and Chief Medical Officer of the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), a nonprofit focused on developing and disseminating treatment protocols for Covid-19, and became one of the world's leading clinical experts on the use of ivermectin in Covid-19 — work he chronicled in The War on Ivermectin. He is also the author of The War on Chlorine Dioxide and a prolific writer at his Substack, Pierre Kory's Medical Musings.
In 2025 he launched Rebuild Medicine, a physician-led organization dedicated to advancing chronic disease care, empowering patients, and restoring integrity, science, and affordability to medicine. He co-founded the Leading Edge Clinic, a national telehealth practice specializing in post-Covid and vaccine-injury syndromes, complex chronic illness, and complementary cancer care, and serves on the board of Neuroimmune.org, dedicated to PANS and related neuroimmune disorders.
The Silent Aquifer grows out of the same investigation as its companion volume, The Blueprint of Life — a years-long inquiry into the foundational role of minerals and water in life and health. That inquiry led him to found The Asao Group, which develops water-purification, agricultural, and mineral-bath products derived from the volcanic-mineral chemistry described in these pages. He discloses that commercial interest openly: the chemistry at the heart of this book is not proprietary to him or to anyone — it can be reproduced by any competent producer from a feedstock that makes up a large fraction of the Earth's crust — and the book's argument stands or falls on the evidence, not on any product.
